CULTURAL WALKING TOURS
Lush tropical nature with a large variety of fascinating landscapes awaits the wanderer on this tour. We are trekking on the slopes of volcanoes, down to river valleys, up to Abode's of the Gods and to different beaches on the wild-foaming Indian Ocean. You will also gain deeper insights into original Javanese rural life and visit handicraft home industries.

Furthermore we accompany you to temples and memorial sites like

  • the outstanding Buddhist Temple of Borobudur
  • the Ratu Boko Palace
  • the Ceto and Sukuh Temples
  • Your individual needs, age, and physical condition will help determine your specialized trek. Customize your trek further by combining any of the following blocks:

    ROUTE A: Seven Days Yogyakarta and Surroundings

    • Light trekking down to Borobudur
    • Two days trekking on the slopes of the fire mountain, Merapi
    • Relax at the mystical beach of Parangtritis
    • Enjoy the sunrise at Ratu Boko Palace and visit the Ceto and Sukuh temples combined with light trekking
    ROUTE B: Ten days Yogyakarta and Overland Tour via East Java to Bali
    • Four days light trekking combined with an interesting cultural program in Yogyakarta and its surroundings
    • Sunrise at Bromo volcano
    • Climb Ijen Plateau with its turquoise-green coloured crater lake
    • Learn about the processing of tropical spices
    ROUTE C: 13 Days Yogyakarta and Overland Tour via East Java to Bali
    • Tour similar as before, but with visiting a Centre for Environmental and Ecological Studies in East Java
    • Meru Betiri National Park, famous for its coffee, pepper, rubber and chocolate plantations, as well as the beach where turtles nest.
    Note: During the rainy season (Dec - March) national parks cannot be visited.
