TROPICAL NATURE AND AGRICULTURE
The island of Java fascinates every visitor by its variety of different landscapes. Thanks to the fertile volcanic ash soil the island is a paradise of exotic flora.
West Java is famous for its tea plantations. East Java for rubber, coffee, cocoa, pepper and vanilla. Central Java is home to an incredible richness of tropical plants like rice, sugar cane, soy beans, coconut trees, bananas, tobacco, manioc, papaya, mango, pineapple, peanuts, chillies, cloves etc.
Our program is interesting for those who want to gain deeper knowledge in tropical nature and its agriculture. The carefully prepared routes lead to typical cultivation areas and processing plants of each individual region. Central Java lies in the center of our trips.
Route A leads from Bogor via the Puncak pass to the cool city of Bandung, also called the “City of flowers” which is surrounded by tea plantations and volcanoes. Our train ride from Bandung then takes you to Yogyakarta in Central Java. An expert introduces you to the cultivation and processing of whatever tropical plants are in season.
Furthermore visits are planned to
